Ukraine might play their crucial final Group D match against England in Euro 2012 on Tuesday without captain Andrei Shevchenko, who suffers a knee problem.
The 35-year-old striker was unable to train Sunday after having suffered two knocks to the knee in the 0-2 defeat by France Friday.
'Shevchenko took two hits to his left knee against France and he has water on the knee as a result,' said a team official of the Ukrainian side.
'We hope he will be able to play on Tuesday but for the moment he is a doubt,' added the official.
The Dinamo Kiev player, who scored twice in the opening 2-1 win over Sweden, was undergoing medical treatment.
Ukraine have three points and need to beat England to progress, while the English are second to France on goal difference on four points and just need a draw.
