U’Khand CM calls for industries in hill stations

Chief Minister Harish Rawat has stressed on the need for developing 2,000 entrepreneurs a year in Uttarakhand. The government is working on plans to attract more and more people to set up small-scale and micro industries in hilly areas of the state. 

Rawat also directed officials to coordinate among different departments to facilitate a drive to join more and more youngsters towards self-employment schemes to strengthen the state economy and make them self-reliant.

He said as brass industry at Marchula (Almora district) has brought a remarkable change in the area. The CM said a wood craft and wood decor art crafts industry should also be developed. Craft village should be developed at famous hill stations Mussoorie, Nainital and other four pilgrim centres.
