As per the data recorded by Real Time Ambient Quality by Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), the PM 2.5 level at all observation sites in the city was much higher than Beijing’s 256-300 micrograms per cubic meter (mpcm) “Beijing issued red smog alert as PM 2.5 level went 10 times above the permissible limit, here in Delhi it is more than 12 to 20 times the safe limit in the National Capital Territory,” said a senior officer of Delhi government after coming out of high level meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Delhi Chief Secretary K K Sharma.
