Team leggings with long shirts

My son is getting married in March. However, my would be daughter-in-law is German, as a result is not used to Indianwear. Since we are Bengalis, I would want to introduce her to Bengali attire. Please help.
I know the sari fixation in Bengali families. You can always hand her down some heirloom saris, but instead of the normal blouse, she can team it with T-shirts, shirts, waistcoats and jackets for a smarter look. The idea is to introduce her to new styles along with certain key elements she can identify with. Heavily-embroidered kurtas can be teamed with denims or leggings.
