A court here on Wednesday sent sidelined AIADMK leader T.T.V. Dinakaran, arrested on the charge of attempting to bribe Election Commission officials, to five-day police custody.

A court here on Tuesday asked the Delhi Police what action has been taken against sidelined AIADMK leader T.T.V. Dinakaran, accused of attempting to bribe Election Commission officials to reclaim the party's disputed and now frozen "two leaves" symbol.

Delhi Police on Monday booked AIADMK Deputy General Secretary and Sasikala's nephew T.T.V. Dinakaran on charges of bribery, an officer said.

AIADMK is slated to field its Deputy General Secretary T.T.V. Dinakaran for the April 12 by-election.
