Sub-inspector shoots self in Karol Bagh

Delhi police sub-inspector shot himself with a service revolver near a metro station on Wednesday evening. 'Narinder Samhota, posted at the Karol Bagh metro station, was found with a gun injury in the temple, near Sector 14-Dwarka metro station,' said a police officer. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. However, no suicide note was found. Police said a passerby who saw him shooting himself informed the police.  'The case is being investigated to ascertain the reason behind this extreme step,' officer said. Samhota, a 2008 batch sub-inspector was a resident of Dwarka area. '
