PM Modi is frustrated, can get me killed: Kejriwal

“There is a daman chakra (cycle of domination) over the Aam Aadmi Party. People are trying to crush the Aam Aadmi Party,” Kejriwal said, adding that the Modi government was trying to crush the AAP with all its might.

“I want to tell everyone today that it is a very critical time. In the times to come, this daman is going to turn very dirty. They (the Modi government) can go to any extent. They can try to kill us. They can try to kill me. They can do anything,” said the Delhi CM. Kejriwal further claimed that the Modi government was trying to send all AAP MLAs to jail on false charges. “Going to jail is a very small thing. We will have to take it for granted that all our MLAs will have to go to jail. Apart from imprisonment, anything can happen to us,” he said.

“If you are ready to face all the difficulties, then support us,” he said. He also talked about the recent arrests of AAP MLAs and the charges against his party leaders. “Till now, 10 of our MLAs have been arrested. An attempt is being made to disqualify 21 of our MLAs by levelling absurd office of profit charges. These people suspended our MP Bhagwant Mann,” he said.

“Some people are saying that I make allegations against Modiji everyday. But the Income Tax Department, Delhi Police and CBI are all after us. There must be some mastermind behind them. Who is that mastermind? Amit Shah? Modiji? PMO? They are all together. Amit Shah acts on the directions of Modiji,” said the Delhi CM. “My sources are telling me that Modiji is very frustrated and angry. And he is not thinking logically about this issue. Because two days after they target and arrest our MLAs, those MLAs are released. He has not been able to prove anything against AAP. Even the courts have told the police that they are indulging in politics,” Kejriwal said.

“Some people are saying that Modiji is frustrated because there is good work going on in Delhi,” he said. “But the fact that Modji is taking decisions out of sheer frustration and anger is a matter of worry for me,” Kejriwal said with a smile. “If the leader of a nation takes such emotional decisions, it is a very dangerous thing for the nation. Is the country in safe hands? The more I think about this, the less sleep I get,” he said.

“Modiji wants political power. This is not really a bad thing. Every politician wants power. But power can be attained in two ways. The first way is to do good work and gain the support of the people, like the good work we are doing. But the Modi government has failed on every front,” he said. “They were not able to fulfill even one promise from their manifesto. Traders, students, Dalits, minorities, farmers and jewellers are angry with the government. There is a lot of inflation today,” the AAP supremo said.

“The second way of grabbing power is to crush one’s opponents. When there are no opponents, one will have power. That is what this government is doing. They have crushed all parties. Does the Congress have the guts to raise its voice? Does any other party have the guts to raise its voice?” Kejriwal said. “Dalits tried to raise their voice. They were crushed. Rohith Vemula was crushed.

Farmers were crushed. Youth and students were crushed. And they left no stone unturned in trying to crush the Aam Aadmi Party. But they are not able to crush our hopes. We refuse to bow down before them,” said the Delhi CM.

The BJP hit back at Kejriwal over his attack on the Prime Minister and asked him to not blame Modi for his failures and instead act against his party leaders “involved” in various crimes.

“Kejriwal’s comments are shameful. We condemn them. He used to harp on morals and spoke against corruption but has been unmasked. He now stands for protecting his corrupt colleagues, many of whom are involved in various crimes,” BJP national secretary Shrikant Sharma said.
