Meghalaya – the ‘abode of clouds’ – is a cool, pine-fresh, mountain state in India’s northeastern region, set on dramatic horseshoes of rocky cliffs. Cherrapunjee and Mawsynram located here are among the wettest places on Earth – creating majestic waterfalls and carving some of Asia’s longest caves including the world’s longest sandstone cave of approximately 25 km.
