Gurgaon deputy Mayor, Parminder Kataria once again faces fresh allegations of rape by the 36-year-old victim, who had earlier in October filed a complaint against him. She has alleged that Kataria had raped her again in December after he was granted interim bail.
The Punjab and Haryana high court had granted bail to Kataria on November 11, 2015, after he and the woman reportedly reached a compromise. “Parminder Kataria had again visited the woman’s house in December and allegedly raped her,” the victim’s lawyer, Pradeep Kumar Rapria said.
She has also alleged that the Gurgaon Police did not take action when she approached the women police station on December 11 and 15 to file a complaint against him. She had sent her complaint to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) by email. But, the police have not registered her case yet, Rapria said. On Saturday, Rapria sent a contempt of court notice to the Gurgaon Police for not filing an FIR, which flouts the Supreme Court guidelines. DCP (East) Deepak Saharan said: “We have not received any notice yet.”
