Oranje does it at Pragati Maidan

Finally, the grand FDCI-Dutch fashion collaboration saw Dutch designers Jan Taminiau and Diederik Verbakel and Marieke Holthuislabel of DIED team up with our very own Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna of Cue and Suneet Verma. While the collection was interesting, what grabbed eyeballs were interesting headgear, hairdo and killer shoes [by Dutch designer Rosabbe Bergsma] – giving the show a truly international feel. For Taminiau’s collection, the hairdo was done to resemble blooming flowers. For Verma’s show, models walked in wearing feathered headgear. The ensembles marked a fusion between Indian and Dutch sensibilities.
