Nursery admission cut-off reduced to 45 in some schools

Now, the tiny tots who have secured 45 marks, can also get the opportunity to be admitted in the nursery classes of the prominent schools. The shortlist for the admission in pre-school/pre-primary declared.
The considerable steps has been taken by the some schools of NCR on the directions of the Directorate of Education of Delhi to ensure proper admissions and equality to the students and their parents seeking admission into the nursery classes.
According to the sources, Hansraj Modern School in Punjabi Bagh is considering admissions to those students who have secured either 45 or above.
Delhi Public School (DPS) of Vasant Kunj has also assured that they will admit students who have secured 45 or above.
On the other hand, DPS international school is planning to give chances to the students who have secured 45 to 49 marks through lottery system. It’s cut-off is 50.
Usha Rao, principal of Laxman Public Schoo in Hauz Khas, said, ‘We are still mulling over the declaration of short-list. We are thinking of 60 as cut-off for the admission.’
Parents from Sarita Vihar said, ‘We have applied in about five to six schools. But now that cut-off is low, we are relaxed. We appreciate the move taken by the schools.’
‘We have applied in about 10 schools, and we are still unsure about the admission of our three-year-old in school,’ said a parent from New Friends Colony.
