‘No political equation to emerge in Jharkhand’

BJP in Jharkhand on Monday ruled out any new political equation emerging out in the state following the outcome of the recent Rajya Sabha polls.

‘There is no such possibility. I am confident that the coalition partners - JMM and AJSU Party - in Arjun Munda-led Jharkhand government would not take any impractical decision that would destabilise the state government,’ BJP state unit president Dineshanand Goswami told a press conference.

‘The allies will join hands with Congress, who has tarnished the image of Jharkhand by indulging in horse-trading during Rajya Sabha polls,’ Goswami said, reacting to the JPCC president’s claims that the coalition will desert BJP.

JPCC president Pradip Kumar Balmuchu was elected to the Upper House in the May 3 poll.

Balmuchu had recently said that a new political equation may emerge in the state following the outcome of the RS poll.

Criticising Congress as well as Babulal Marandi-led Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM-P) for ‘encouraging’ corruption, Goswami said, ‘Congress should make public what deal it had struck with the jailed MLAs for their support in the RS poll.’

The two political parties were accusing each other for indulging in horse-trading, he said.
