MP CM launches Yuva Mission, highlights PM’s vision for uplifting poor, youth, farmers & women

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday launched the Vivekanand Yuva Shakti Mission, aiming to channel the energy of the youth in a constructive direction to make the country a Viksit Bharat.
Addressing the inaugural function of the mission here, CM Yadav stated that youth have always been dedicated to the nation and society, whether it was the freedom struggle or during other invasions, they have sacrificed their lives to protect religion, culture, and values when needed.
“The current time is crucial for establishing India as a developed nation globally. It is our fortune that the nation has the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, CM Yadav said.
He urged the youth to contribute every possible effort in their respective fields, dedicating their abilities, qualifications, and hard work toward making India a developed nation by 2047.
Under PM Modi’s vision of “GYAN par Dhyaan”, empowering the poor, youth, farmers, and women self-reliant is our top priority, the CM said.
“To channel the energy of the youth in a constructive direction, the state is launching the mission on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary—National Youth Day”, the CM added.
The event was attended by a large number of students and youth.
The Chief Minister unveiled the logo of the mission based on the motto “Atma Deepo Bhav: Dialogue, Capability, Prosperity.” He administered an oath to the youth to become skilled, self-reliant, and to light their life’s lamp, guiding society.
At the event, the CM also launched the mission theme song, portal and wellness programme (Umang). The programme focuses on the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the youth.
An MoU was exchanged between Global Skill Park and Trident Company to provide skill enhancement and training to the youth as per industrial needs.
The CM also distributed incentive certificates to tribal girls who received training in various trades under the UN Women’s V-STEM project.
Yadav stated that India is the world’s youngest country, Madhya Pradesh alone has over 1.5 crore youth. Under the mission, the state government will ensure engagement with the youth and support their future progress in alignment with their interests and qualifications.
The mission aims to coordinate all youth-related programmes across the 54 departments, ensuring quality education, and entrepreneurial training, and making the youth self-reliant, he also said.
“Along with providing employment opportunities in both public and private sectors, efforts will be made to foster entrepreneurship, empowering youth to become job providers rather than job seekers”, CM Yadav said.
“The goal is to employ over 70 percent of the state’s youth by 2030. The mission also prioritizes education, personality development, and a better quality of life, aiming for all youth to complete education up to class 10 by 2028 and class 12 by 2030”, the CM added.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain said the mission was drafted after officials from various departments brainstormed and consulted nearly 15,000 young stakeholders, its aims to unify youth-related government programs, based on the idea that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”
“It is not just a government initiative; it is a mission for society as a whole,” he said.
Jain called the youth to join Vivekananda’s exhortation, “Relax not until the goal is achieved,” and dedicate ourselves to uplifting humanity and developing our nation, restoring India’s pride, prosperity, and status as a developed country.
