Jolie honoured with Bosnian citizenship

Los Angeles, April 25 (IANS) Actress Angelina Jolie has been made an honorary citizen of Bosnia after drawing attention to the region with her directorial debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey".
The actress has been invited to attend a special ceremony May 3 in the city of Sarajevo where she will be honoured.
The actress, who co-scripted the movie, focused on a romance between a Serbian soldier and a Bosnian woman during the 1990s war in the troubled area, reports usmagazine.com
And now government officials have chosen to recognise Jolie for her contribution to the preservation of truth about the war in Sarajevo and in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and her dedication to protection of the principles of humanity, democracy, tolerance, and solidarity between people of different ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds.
