IRB personnel loses life after accident

A cop from India Reserve Battalion (IRB) died in a hit-and-run incident on Thursday.
The deceased head constable (HC) Raghuvinder Singh was working with First IRB (the battalion) and was currently posted in IRB Palwal.
Singh was on his way to IRB headquarters in Bhondsi on Thursday morning for some official work when the accident took place.
Singh had travelled in a bus till Jail Mod on Gurgaon-Sohna Road and got off on the Sohna side of the road. He then tried to cross the road to go towards IRB Complex when was hit by a speeding white Ritz. The car’s registration plate number has been identified as HR 14 L 6946.
An eyewitness revealed that the impact of the collision was so strong that the victim flew in the air and fell around 60 to 70 feet away.
He died on the spot while the car driver fled the location. A case has been registered by the police against the unknown driver under Section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and Section 304a (causing death by negligence).
