While the BJP is glorifying first anniversary of Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders are all set to go amidst the common man down to the grass root level and discuss their achievements since coming to power.
AAP government is going to complete 100 days in office on May 24. The party will share the information regarding Delhi government’s achievements via social media in addition to conducting mohalla sabhas.
“Unfortunately, a number of controversies erupted within the party after we formed the government in Delhi on February 14. Our opponents are trying hard to defame the AAP government, but we have decided to bring the truth to the knowledge of the people. Our MLAs will conduct mohalla sabhas at their respective constituencies and will interact with the local people. They will educate them about the work done by the Delhi government for the betterment of the national Capital,” said an AAP leader on condition of anonymity.
Speaking on the measures taken by the party to curb corruption, he said: “AAP government has been doing a good job to counter corruption. Delhi government’s anti-corruption helpline is getting <g data-gr-id="34">good</g> response from people, water and electricity bill rates have been reduced and several other works have been done by our government soon after it came to the power.”
AAP senior leadership has also instructed its MLAs and leaders to share information about the party’s various initiatives through social sites to spread its government’s achievements.
Party sources have said that a section of media is obsessed about defaming the AAP government so it has decided to take the help of social media to counter their charges.
“We got a full mandate to serve Delhi and its people and our government is getting more popularity among the masses despite the ongoing negative campaigning against us launched by our opponents,” commented the AAP leader.
