Five-day-old baby found dead in Ggn

A five-day-old dead baby was found lying on the streets of the CRPF Camp Road near Kadipur village in Badshahpur.

According to the police, the baby boy was a new born and had been lying there for over 3-4 hours. A case has been registered against unidentified persons under Section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body) of the Indian Penal Code.

The body was found in an empty plot near Anantraj Company in Sector 60 on the CRPF road. At around 9 in the morning local passers-by found the body and informed the police on Saturday. Immediately the cops rushed to the spot and sent the body of the post-mortem.

Sources reveal that it appeared that the child died of hunger as the body looked extremely weak. The police are now trying to locate the baby’s parents and the person who dumped the dead body in the plot.

Police also said that if the body remains unidentified, it will be cremated within the next 72  hours.
