Fitness test for physical education appointees in Delhi University

There will now be a physical fitness test for the appointment of various posts in the physical education departments in the varsity. These posts include university director of physical education and sports, university deputy director of physical education and sports, and assistant director of physical education and sports. This decision has been approved by the Executive Council (EC) of Delhi university.
According to the ordinance passed by EC, male candidates, who are 30 years old and below will have to run 1800 metres, whereas those up to 40 years of age have to cover the distance 1500 metres. Those candidates who are 45 years old or below will have to cover 1200 metres and those who are up to 50 years of age will have to cover the distance of 800 metre. These distances are to be covered within 12 minutes.
Women candidates, at the age of 30 years or below have to run 1000 metres, whereas 40 years old and below will have to cover the distance of 800 metres. Those candidates, who are 45 years or below, have to run 600 metres and those up to 50 years of age, will have to run 400 metres. These distances have to be covered within eight minutes.
