First-hand witnesses to crash, injured and in a state of complete shock

The BSF chartered plane that crashed and burst into flames, shocked the passers-by and locals on Tuesday morning. Many of them were clueless and shocked after seeing such a tragic incident in which 10 people died. Thick smoke rose from the debris just after the crash. Parts of the aircraft were visible at the wreckage site where the BSF charted aircraft had crashed early morning. However, the situation was brought under control soon and people were directed to stay away from the area by the police. Three labourers, two men and a woman, who were working near the crash site, also suffered minor injuries after smoldering parts of the crashed aircraft reportedly fell on them. Both of them were rushed to a nearby hospital by the Delhi Police personnel. They are still in shock. Eight dead bodies were recovered from the water tank, while two were recovered from outside of it,” said a senior CISF official. Ravi, an eyewitness, said: “There were reportedly 10 people on the flight. I saw two bodies. There were some labourers working on the ground where the plane fell.” “There were 23 fire tenders, 4 JCB’s, 10 CAT ambulances and 11 PCR vans who were present at the crash site. Apart from these, a team of CISF personnel, a disaster management team and an Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau team rushed to the spot. Three labourers who are key eyewitnesses to the crash identified as Parvati, Kuvasa and Rajaram received minor injuries and are in a state of shock,” confirmed Dependra Pathak, Joint Commissioner of Police (South-west Range).
