Most of the exit polls have predicted a clean sweep for BJP in Delhi by predicting maximum five to seven seats in its kitty. If this is true, then the mood in the national capital will see a complete reversal from 2009 Lok Sabha polls when the party could not open its account even.
Today’s Chanakya (TC), which had predicted 31 seats for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in 2013 Delhi assembly election in which the party had secured 28 seats, predicts a complete loss for the newbie.Â
As per the prediction of the agency, AAP and Congress may not be able to open their accounts in the city as BJP could win all the seven seats. TC has predicted 6-7 Lok Sabha seats for the BJP and only 0-1 seat for AAP.Â
In its post poll exit poll, the agency has predicted that the Congress will not be able to open an account.Â
The agency has predicted 39 to 42 percent vote share for BJP, 31 to 34 percent vote share for AAP and 20 to 23 percent vote share for Congress which were 33 and 30 percent for BJP and AAP in the Delhi assembly elections.
CSDS — Lokniti has predicted 45 percent vote share in Delhi around 14 percent higher than the LokÂ
Sabha polls. ‘30 percent of voters who voted for BJP accepted they were influenced by Modi wave,’ said the agency.Â
It has predicted 5-7 seats for BJP and 0-2 seats for AAP. Similarly, Aaj Tak has predicted six seats for BJP, Zee News predicted six, C Voter has predicted seven seats for the saffron party.Â
The fall in percentage voter share of AAP, according to experts, could be due to sudden resignation of AAP government within 49 days, BJP’s lead due to projecting Narendra Modi as prime minister and AAP strategy to field all the big leaders outside Delhi.Â
