Working with Salman Khan is ‘nerve-wracking’: Rashmika Mandanna

Riding high on the consecutive successes of ‘Animal’ and ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Rashmika Mandanna has become one of the most sought-after actresses in the film industry. As she celebrates her recent releases, she has multiple projects ahead for her eyeing a blockbuster reception for them as well. She is also set to star opposite Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan. During a recent interview, she shared her experience, calling it ‘nerve-wracking’.

While having a chat with a popular entertainment outlet, the ‘Misson Majnu’ star, when asked about her experience with shooting with Salman Khan, she called it ‘nerve-wracking’. She said, “He’s Salman Khan.” She also mentioned Salman as a fun actor who creates a fun and joyous atmosphere on the set by cracking jokes and is always in high spirits.

She further shared that it’s the first commercial Bollywood film that she’ll be doing. “All my Hindi films have got a performance-oriented screenplay, but this is the first time I’m actually going to become a heroine, so I’m really excited,” she said.

Mandanna also added that she doesn’t want to be typecast. “I don’t want to be only taken for the performance. I want to be a part of full-blown commercial cinema as well. I want people to know that they can bank on me for that as well.”

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film will be a mass entertainer film. It is set for an Eid 2025 theatrical release.

Speaking of her upcoming films, after reprising Srivalli, Rashmika will be seen in multiple Bollywood films, including ‘Chhava’ alongside Vicky Kaushal, ‘Sikandar’ and ‘Thama’, which will be a horror comedy film, starring Ayushmann Khurrana.
