Jibraan Khan, known for his role as a child actor in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, recently explained why he didn’t start acting as an adult sooner. He mentioned auditioning for ‘Student of The Year 2’ and discussed the reasons it didn’t work out.

During a recent chat with ‘Free Press Journal’, Jibraan Khan addressed the long wait before his big-screen debut after ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’.

The actor mentioned that people had been asking about his debut for the past five to six years. Jibraan honestly acknowledged the difficulties he faced, stressing the importance of finding the perfect project for his debut. He emphasised the need to differentiate himself and prepare thoroughly as a mainstream actor, focusing on both physicality and acting abilities.

Jibraan highlighted his proactive approach to seeking acting opportunities by reaching out to directors and producers and actively auditioning. He mentioned trying out for Karan Johar’s ‘Student of The Year 2’, but he didn’t get the role because he looked younger than Tiger Shroff.

In a conversation with a top news organisation, Jibraan Khan recalled how the late veteran actor Amrish Puri had advised his parents to keep him away from the public eye. However, after his third film, ‘Rishtey’, Jibraan decided to step away from acting. He explained that at the time, there was a belief that aspiring actors should avoid too much attention to maintain freshness.
