According to the complainant, Major Ramendra Kumar Singh was travelling to Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan on 18 July with his wife Abha Rani and son Shaurya via Tajik Airline (Flight 7J118). Upon reaching Delhi, he reported at Tajik Airline’s counter, collected his boarding pass and handed over his luggage (two suitcases) to the air line staff.
Upon reaching Dushanbe, he found that all the jewelleries from his wife’s suitcase were missing. They immediately reported the incident to Tajik Airlines and DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited), which operates IGI Airport. Later, Singh also filed his complaint via email to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Airport).
Tajik Airlines has stated that they have forwarded the matter to the concerned authority and waiting for their reply. ‘We have asked our official ground handler to look into the matter. The reply shall come soon,’ Tajik Air spokesperson told Millennium Post over the phone.
