Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi assembly speaker MS Dhir on Sunday hit out at his own party leaders for criticising him to praise prime minister Narender Modi.
Dhir asked if Arvind Kejriwal can praise Modi as PM then why can’t he?
Dhir, while ruling out the possibility of joining BJP said he is ‘hurt’ with the rumours that some section in party is spreading to defame him. Dhir’s comments came after media reports that he would be denied a ticket in the upcoming assembly polls due to his non performance. ‘How can someone say that I did not perform, I performed better than other MLAs of the party. There are some people in the party who are spreading this confusion. They should have used party forum to discuss the matter’, he said to Millenium Post.
When asked what will be his next move he said, ‘I am currently following wait and watch policy.’
Meanwhile Arvind Kejriwal told media that anyone who was denied a ticket would talk about ‘lack of democracy’ in the party.
He, however, clarified that the ticket distribution process had not started yet. ‘So far all the media reports are based on speculations’, he added.
