Greater Noida board OKs Master Plan 2041
Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) held its board meeting and approved the Master Plan 2041 setting up the Phase-2 of
Greater Noida city in about 40 thousand hectares.
Under the plan, 40, 000 hectares of land will be identified as acquired from farmers to develop phase-II over the next 18 years. The first phase of Greater Noida comprises 31,733 hectares. After the development of both phases, the total area of Greater Noida will be about 71,000 hectares.
“In Greater Noida Phase-II, more emphasis will be put on setting up industries along with developing residential,
rural population, mix land use, greenery, institutional, and transport hubs,” a senior GNIDA officer said.
In the meeting, the Ganga water supply plan was also discussed. “At present, Gangajal is being supplied in 33 sectors. In the first phase, there is a plan to supply Gangajal to 58 sectors, which will be completed by September next year. By this, Ganga water will reach 91 sectors of Greater Noida through reservoir,” the officer added.
To end the dispute over outstanding water bills in 35 societies of Greater Noida and Greater Noida West, it has been decided that after the formation of the Apartment Owners Association (AOA), the bill will be given by the AOA, while the earlier bill will have to be deposited by the builder. Through this, the authority will get Rs 65 crore as water dues.
Apart from this, the GNIDA board has also approved to give big relief to its flat allottees by approving a one-time settlement scheme (OTS). This OTS will be applicable for three months and relief will be given from penalty on premium, additional compensation and lease deed late fee. Officials said that around 2,200 flat buyers are expected to get the benefit and the authority is expected to get around Rs 468 crore.
The board meeting was held under the chairmanship of Industrial Development Commissioner and Chairman of Greater Noida Authority Manoj Kumar Singh, in which CEO of Greater Noida Authority N G Ravi Kumar and CEO of Noida Authority Dr Lokesh M were present, among other officials of Greater Noida Authority.
