Delhi govt secys, top officials asked to provide info on licenses and NOCs

Delhi government’s finance secretary SN Sahai on Monday issued a circular to principal secretaries and other top officials in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, that included vice chairman, Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Commissioners of all three local bodies Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of corporations/undertakings /autonomous bodies of government of NCT, Delhi police commissioner, CEO Delhi Jal Board, Chairman of New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) to provide details on various licences/approvals etc issued by them. Delhi government has constituted a committee to review these details in coming days.
The letter in addressed to department heads said: “Delhi government has constituted a committee to submit recommendations regarding permits/licences/approvals whose processes need to be simplified/amended/withdrawn. Department <g data-gr-id="29">are</g> kindly requested to provide the details about various licences/approvals etc. issued by them.”
The letter also stated: “the documents based on which the permits/licences are issued as well those NOCs/ licences issued by the department based on which final approval/NOCs/licences are issued by other departments may also be indicated. The departments may also give suggestions on the above matter.”
He further asked these departments to submit these details by July 5, 2015.
Meanwhile, the Delhi government’s finance department also issued a similar directive to district magistrates.
“District magistrates are requested to hold meeting with stakeholders who approach different government offices for various permits/licences/approvals etc. and submit their views by June 25, 2015.”
