According to the rules, DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited), a private concessionaire which manages Delhi airport is supposed to maintain security gadgets and share on-time data of security alarms with CISF. But a report has found that DIAL has not been coordinating with CISF on key security issues.Â
The security gadgets are installed at airport which raise an alarm if anybody tried to intrude into the airport premises.  But it was found that there is no coordination between the fake alarm system and CCTV cameras installed at the airport. The CISF agency has directed it’s personnel at the airport to perform their duties with a thought that these security gadgets are not installed at the airport so as to ensure better security of the premises.
‘Personnel have been directed to perform their duties with a thought that Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS), an electronic coordination system between alarm bell and CCTV footage, has not been installed at IGI airport. Personnel should not show carelessness and be alert on duty,’ wrote Deputy Inspector General of CISF unit at IGI airport to Assistant Director General (ADG) of the CISF force onÂ
18 March 2014.Â
The report, a copy of which is with Millennium Post, digs deep into non-cooperative attitude of DIAL on security issues. ‘Many times fake alarms have been raised at the IGI airport on intrusion. However, the data was never shared with CISF.  Though in every meeting DIAL agrees to share the data’, the report read.
The report further said that during night hours no technician of DIAL remains present when most of the problems occur. Â In the report, the DIG mentions the minimum coordination between the DIAL and CISF on account of PIDS. Â In the letter he has blamed DIAL for not cooperating with CISF to ensure fool proof security of the airport.Â
