DFCCIL and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya partner for research and development

NEW DELHI: A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Centre for Heavy Haul Rail Research and Development of DFCCIL and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya in New Delhi. This alliance will enhance further research, development, and training and, at its core, work on “Centres of Excellence” within the Heavy Haul Institute and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Praveen Kumar, Managing Director of DFCCIL; Professor Manoj Chaudhary, Vice-Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya; and other senior officials of DFCCIL. The agreement marks the synergy between academia and industry because five students of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya have bagged placements through campus recruitment by DFCCIL.
This collaboration of DFCCIL with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya will ensure innovation and excellence in transportation and logistics and form a good base for future advancement. Praveen Kumar, MD of DFCCIL, met with KK Aggarwal, President of South Asian University, to explore the possibility of cooperation in education and training. This was followed by a joint launch of the new website for South Asian University. The program was graced by Colonel Mayank Upadhya, General Manager of Training at the Heavy Haul Institute of DFCCIL, and cemented the two institutes’ bonding even further. The Heavy Haul Institute of DFCCIL is a world-class facility located in Noida. It is the hub for continued learning and innovation in rail freight transportation. It supports over 240 students contributing to the national effort for an efficient and sustainable freight rail system.
