Bol Bachchan, the Rohit-Shetty directed remake of yesteryear hit comedy Golmaal, grossed Rs 72.8 crores over the weekend. The figure includes both national and international markets. The action comedy netted Rs 43.10 crores over the weekend in India — Rs 12.10 crores on Friday, Rs 14 crores on Saturday and Rs 17 crores on Sunday [approx].
Presented by Fox Star Studios, the Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision and Ajay Devgn Ffilms, the movie generated 36 per cent higher figures than Singham and around 43 per cent bigger than Golmaal 3 on opening day, say the producers.
Shetty is so happy with the collections that he is looking at a sequel. ‘You want me to make a sequel? OK, we’ll think about it,’ said Shetty at a theatre in Mumbai where he went to gauge audience reaction.
