BJP takes to full page ads to woo voters

In a final push towards achieving victory in the Delhi polls, the BJP went all guns blazing to convince voters through full-page advertisements in leading dailies on Wednesday. The two full-page advertisements in leading dailies and jacket advertisements were a matter of debate among voters and changed moods of many who were undecided, seeking a change of guard in the national capital.
‘Karein badlao ki suruwat, kamal par vote ke sathh (Start the process of change by voting for lotus),’ said the advertisement on the first page of leading dailies, with a huge picture of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the background and a picture of BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan in the foreground. These advertisements were carried in almost all the major dailies of the city.
‘We have felt the anti-incumbency wave in Delhi, so we’ve kept our campaign very aggressive from the start. We first highlighted the failures of Congress government and then presented our alternative agenda though outdoor, digital, radio, television and print media advertisement campaign,’ said Ashish Sood, convener of the Delhi BJP’s campaign committee.
