Bihar MP allegedly ‘misbehaves’ with lady crew member

A Jet Airways flight on Tuesday landed at Delhi airport and asked for security assistance from Air Traffic Controller (ATC) before landing, after a passenger, who is reportedly a Member of Parliament, misbehaved with a female cabin crew member on board.
According to sources, the incident took place on flight 9W 728. The passenger boarded the flight from Patna. The Parliamentarian got aggressively abusive with the crew member. It was also reported that the passenger involved in manhandling with the crew member.
Keeping in view his aggressive and abusive behaviour, the flight captain immediately raised an alarm and informed ATC about the incident.
“The captain of the flight, before landing at Delhi, requested ATC for security assistance at the gate due to a disruptive guest on board. The guest was led by security agencies on arrival,” said Jet Airways spokesperson.
Meanwhile when asked about the name of the MP, the airline denied <g data-gr-id="34">to disclose</g> the identity of the passenger. “We do not mention the names of our passenger,” said the spokesperson. The sources further said that the Parliamentarian was abusive and aggressive on board, and soon after he came to know that flight captain had informed ATC and raised the alarm about the incident, he not only manhandled the crew member, but also threatened her by showing his sandal. Soon after the flight landed at the airport, the MP <g data-gr-id="30">fled</g> and no action was taken against him as no complaint was filed against him.
Earlier on August 22, 2014, a man was arrested for manhandling three cabin crew members of Air-India. He was under the influence of alcohol. The accused was said to have boarded the flight from Melbourne and was scheduled to land in Delhi. He was said to have used abusive language and manhandled the crew members.
