Air quality in city very poor

New Delhi: The national capital woke up to a foggy morning on Sunday with the minimum temperature recorded at 9.1 degrees Celsius, 1.6 degrees above the season's average.

Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) settled in the 'very poor' category, standing at 346 as of 9 am. On Saturday, the 24-hour average AQI was recorded at 255, falling in the 'poor' category at 4 pm.

An AQI between 0-50 is classified as good, 51-100 as satisfactory, 101-200 as moderate, 201-300 as poor, 301-400 as very poor, and 401-500 as severe.

Humidity levels were recorded at 100 per cent at 8:30 am.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted a partly cloudy sky during the day, with the maximum temperature expected to reach around 22 degrees Celsius.
