The first day of the admission at University of Delhi (DU) didn’t go very well with the students and parents who visited Ramjas College. ‘There is a lot of mismanagement. There are not enough rooms from where we can take the forms. So, there is lot of chaos,’ said Vishesh, an aspirant .
‘I just landed in Delhi from Uttar Pradesh. It’s very difficult as the admission process closes at 1 pm. And, the procedure is slow too.
Some teachers were even late. The time should be extended,’ said Nidhi Bhagat, another aspirant.
As DU switches from FYUP to three year undergraduate programme, a lot of students seeking admission are left confused about the eligibility criteria. ‘We prepared ourselves for FYUP. Now, suddenly everything is changed. Few courses have also been scrapped. Also, the eligibility criteria has also been reversed. So, it is causing problems,’ said Poonam Sambedkar, an aspirant. ‘Today most of the students and parents came asking about eligibility criteria. There is a lot of confusion regarding that,’ said Pramod, a student of SRCC.
