Aim to win trust of people, says U’khand CM

Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat on Friday reiterated that the government’s main priority is to ensure public welfare. “To improve work culture is the biggest challenge before the government. We have to win the confidence of the common man to make him believe that the system’s priority is public welfare,” he said at the first conference of the Uttarakhand Adhikari Karamchari Shikshak Sangarsh Morcha.

The CM said the government was trying to sort out all pending issues of employees. The recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission would be implemented from the first year itself, he said. He added: “We have to create a satisfactory system for employment opportunities to 30 per cent population of the disaster-hit regions. Our priorities are those people bereft of the basic needs of life.”
