AIIMS looks at new tech to ease joint replacement

In an attempt to develop new skills to deal with increasing bone and joint repair cases, doctors have come up with improvement in designs for joint replacement that would enhance the quality of the same.
‘Designs have been improved for knee replacement. It includes parsona knee (it is very similar to actual knee), thirty years knee (the knee won’t wear out till at least thirty years), computer navigation assisted knee (the knee is replaced using computer navigation to decrease the chances of error), attune knee, CR100, and partial knee,’ said Rajesh Malhotra, professor, department of orthopaedics, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
