The incident took place on Friday morning in Block T-137 in Khayala in west Delhi. The police received a call at 8.30 am. The deceased has been identified as Vijay Arora who runs an auto parts shop.

According to the police, a heated argument took place between Arora and two women who runs a shop of earthen utensils outside his shop. On Friday, he refused to let them put up their stall selling utensils outside his shop, claiming they obstruct his customers’ way. A case of murder have been registered in Khayala police station against all five and a man-hunt is on to nab them.

The neighbours told the police that for the past few days, Arora was upset with them as they put up their stalls outside his shop. He had asked them many times to find another spot, but the accused, despite heated arguments, refused to budge.

On Friday, when his son, who was passing by, noticed fumes coming out of the shop. He immediately opened the shutter and found his father lying unconscious on the floor with burn injuries all over his body. Finding the incident suspicious, the police were informed about the same. Arora was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. His body has been sent for the post-mortem examination.
