Nitish Kumar likely to campaign for AAP

In a boost to the prospects of the AAP, Janata Dal (United) leader and former Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar is all set to campaign for the party in the upcoming assembly election in Delhi.

According to AAP sources, Nitish Kumar may begin the election campaign from the end of this month. He would woo the migrants of Bihar and urge them to vote for AAP in Delhi to counter the BJP. However, JD(U) itself is contesting from seven assembly seats in Delhi.

According to the sources, Nitish Kumar and senior AAP leaders have been in touch to discuss campaign strategies and to decide measures to counter BJP in Delhi. “We believe that Nitish Kumar can influence the migrants and it will certainly help us to battle it out in this election,” said an AAP spokesperson.

“JD(U) is giving us unconditional and moral support to Kejriwal as they want him to be the Chief Minister of Delhi. Earlier, Delhi has shown that when they have a third option other than the Congress or BJP, they will vote for that party,” he added.

During the last Assembly elections, JD(U) had rendered their support to AAP.
