ITM University now The Northcap University

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has notified the name change of ITM University, Gurgaon to ‘The Northcap University’ (NCU) on 26 August 2015. An Ordinance notifying the name change was earlier promulgated by the Governor of Haryana. The University is already included in the list of Private Universities under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act.

“The new name is strengthened by a logo showing a ‘Bridge’, a mnemonic which represents the connection between the ‘classroom and the real world’. The name, ‘The Northcap University’, allows us to better align us with our future strategy and helps us provide a unique identity. Our new identity will continue reflecting our commitment towards delivering relevant <g data-gr-id="15">educationmeeting</g> national needs and international standards.”, says NCU Pro-Chancellor Prof Prem Vrat.

The University has consistently been listed among the frontrunners in imparting quality education in 
Delhi-NCR and Haryana. It was ranked No 1 Emerging University in India by Higher Education Review in April 2015.
