The prestigious Hindu College of Delhi University has suspended two of its faculty members for misbehavior during a college meeting. SNP Punj, chairman of the governing body (GB) of Hindu College, said, ‘We have suspended two teachers, Jai Inder Paal, who teaches sports, and Arvind Chaudhary, a professor of English, on Tuesday. They have been found guilty of exchanging blows during a meeting in the college staff room on 27 August.’

When asked for a reaction, Paal, said: ‘Five teachers were found guilty. Leaving three out and suspending two is not fair.’  Chaudhary said: ‘I will take action against the GB. According to law it is not legal to issue a suspension letter to a professor without citing reasons.’

On 27 August, Hindu College teachers and staff association members had exchanged blows during a meeting.
