Four persons were arrested for robbing a truck filled with mobile phones in north Delhi's Burari area on Saturday.
The incident took place on 18-19 May when the complainant Santosh, the driver of the Eicher canter, left from Okhla Industrial area and was on his way to Zirakpur.
When he reached outer Ring road near Burari flyover, he spotted a Tata Tempo and thought that the vehicle had broken down.
When he got down, the accused men, identified as Sanjay, Salman, Sarvan Kumar and Mohammad Salman, overpowered the driver and abducted him.
"One of the accused took control of his Canter loaded with the mobile phones and drove away.
Later on at about 6.30 am, they dumped him and his truck near Mundka police station area," said a senior police official.
The men robbed 7,600 Karbonn mobile phones worth Rs 1 crore after which they fled from the spot.
Thirty-six hours after the crime, the police managed to track down the accused on the basis of secret information from various parts of the city.
