In a daring move, expelled AAP leader Vinod Kumar Binny has announced to contest against former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, from New Delhi constituency.
Terming Kejriwal as ‘dictator’, Binny, who is also a legislator from Lakshmi Nagar constituency, lashed out at him for not fulfilling the promises he made during last assembly elections.
‘Kejriwal had done a lot of agitations against the Congress and the BJP. But he will have to explain this time on why he didn’t fulfill the promises he made. He will have to show how he is different from others’, the MLA said.
When asked whether he will join any party to contest against Kejriwal, Binny said, ‘I may join any party or I will form my own outfit. But I will have to consult my supporters before taking any such decisions. I want to expose Kejriwal. I will soon let people know about my next move.’
Meanwhile, Binny on Monday withdrew his plea from the Delhi High Court seeking to be declared as an independent legislator, in view of the assembly being dissolved on 4 November.
His decision to withdraw the plea comes in the wake of dissolution of the Delhi Legislative Assembly as ordered by the Union Cabinet on the recommendation of Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.
The AAP had expelled Binny earlier this year, owing to his alleged anti-party activities.
