A man filed a complaint on Saturday against DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited) and its parent company GMR for the damage that occurred to his car in the multi-level car parking in airport premises.
According to the FIR filed by the Nar Narayan Goyal, a resident Moradabad in UP, on 10 August, 2014, the driver-side rear view mirror of his Honda City was reportedly stolen from the parking. He has demanded a compensation of Rs 50,000 from the airport operator and asked for the mirror to be replaced.
Goyal along with his relative visited the airport on 10 August to drop his nephew and parked his car in multi-level car parking at the airport. Around 6.45 pm, while leaving the airport he realised that the rear view mirror had been stolen. He complained the matter to the security supervisor.
He later approached to parking manager, who after watching the CCTV footage confirmed that the incident actually happened. It was found that some people dressed as driver has stolen the mirror. But, they could not be identified as their faces were not clear in the CCTV footage.
Meanwhile, Kuldip Singh Kharayat, CEO of Delhi Airport Parking Services Private Limited, told Millennium Post over phone that they have already sent the mirror to the complainant. ‘We are in constant touch with him and take necessary action to sort out the matter,’ said Kharayat. Police have also filed a case under the section of 379 IPC against unknown person.
