A 48-year-old businessman shot dead by an assailant at Zafarbad area of Northeast Delhi on Tuesday evening. The reasons for the killing is said to be the personnel enmity. The victim, identified as Hazi Matin, resident of Bilal Masjid in Zafrabad, was present in his shop when the three armed assailants pumped bullets into his chest. On hearing the sound of gunshots, people run towards the businessman’s office. The assailants, who came on motorcycles, fled from the spot by showing the gun. Meanwhile, Matin was immediately rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The police has registered a murder case in Zafrabad police station. After the incident, people of the area panicked as false rumours spread that MLA Chaudhary Matin Ahmad had been shot.
