New Delhi: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has forged a strategic partnership with ITC Limited, a leading Indian conglomerate, to drive entrepreneurship and innovation.
The collaboration aims to accelerate startup growth, foster technological advancements, and create extensive market opportunities for emerging businesses.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) envisions leveraging ITC’s market expertise and extensive network alongside DPIIT’s initiatives to support startups nationwide.
As part of this partnership, ITC plans to implement startup-driven solutions in areas such as digital platforms for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), renewable energy integration for manufacturing facilities, and energy storage systems.
Joint secretary of DPIIT, Sanjiv, noted that the initiative aligns with key government programmes like Startup India, Make in India, and AatmaNirbhar Bharat.
It also supports Vision 2047 by promoting sustainable and innovation-led growth.
Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, director of Startup India, highlighted the commitment to providing seamless market access for startups, enabling them to create tailored solutions for ITC’s
business needs.
ITC’s Corporate Affairs President, Mr Anil Rajput, emphasised that the partnership will enhance operational excellence in manufacturing and renewable energy while offering significant value to startups and ITC alike.
