Kolkata: The body of a Bihar resident was fished out from a waterbody at Naskarhat area in Kasba on Saturday morning. The victim’s dresses and mobile phone have also been recovered. Residents spotted the body floating on Saturday morning and informed the police. The body was fished out by the divers of the disaster management group and was sent for post mortem. One of the local youths identified the body to be that of Raju Patel (29), a resident of Jalha village under Sangrampur police station area of Bihar. Raju was the relative of the local youth who had come to their residence at Shantipally on Friday to celebrate Holi. He had left the residence at around 9 pm claiming to take a bath in the nearby waterbody. However, he did not return. The relatives searched here and there but he remained untraced till the body was found floating on Saturday morning. The victim was a truck driver. Primary investigation revealed that it was a case of drowning.
