Duare Sarkar: 9th edition to start from today; camps to be held till February 1
Kolkata: The 9th edition of ‘Duare Sarkar’ (Government at Doorstep) kicks off from Friday after a gap of one year and will deliver benefits associated with 37 governments schemes through camp mode in the block level.
The camps will be held till February 1 where applications will be received for the various schemes. The camps will be held from 10 am to 4 pm. The applications will be scanned till February 28 and services will be delivered.
The standard operating procedure states nobody should pay money to anyone since service delivery of government schemes’ are free-of-cost.
For the first time, financial assistance will be provided for purchase of agriculture equipment. Subsidy will be given for buying hand-driven and power driven machines.
The farmers as well as members of Self-Help-Groups will derive benefits through this service.
The subsidy offered will be in the range of 50-80 per cent depending upon the value of machines used for farm mechanisation.
In the last edition of Duare Sarkar, applications were accepted in connection with 36 schemes.
The benefits of schemes like Swasthya Sathi, Rupashree, Kanyashree, Lakshmir Bhandar, Widow Pension, Bina Mulye Samajik Suraksha Yojana, Khadya Sathi to name a few will be delivered this time too. The latest edition will witness camps in remote areas. “The aim is to reach out to every single doorstep with the social schemes of the state government,” said a Nabanna official.
Instructions have been given to explain to applicants the reason behind rejection of applications so that there is no misconception among any applicant.
There will be facilities for drinking water in every single camp along with ‘She’ corner for pregnant mothers.
