The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come up with a new idea to promote its election agenda. There will be an AAP Nayak covering 25 houses in particular area of his or her constituency to promote the party agenda for the forthcoming assembly elections. According to the party, around 1.10 lakh Nayaks have begun work.

‘The role of a Nayak is to interact directly with the people and has to get the feedbacks from them about the party. If they find the voter is less interested towards AAP then he/she has to be convinced by facts and figures what AAP’s government had done for Delhi in their 49 days’ tenure. The Nayak will let the voters know about the achievements of the party while they were in power,’ said a source.

He further said that there are around 3,000 Nayaks who have already started work at the New Delhi assembly seat. There are booth committees and ward level committees to monitor the Nayaks’ activities and performance.

Meanwhile, senior AAP leader Ashutosh said that party does not have sufficient funds to counter the campaigning of BJP and Congress and AAP will rely on door-to-door campaign.

The party will form human chains at various busy junctions in the city where workers will hold the banners of their party to promote the agenda.

‘We don’t have money to publish big advertisements in newspapers or telecast them on various news channels,’ said Ashutosh. Meanwhile, AAP will also provide its workers spy cameras to stop the use of money and muscle power by other political parties in the upcoming Delhi assembly polls.

‘Spy cameras will be given to AAP volunteers so that they can video record illegal means adopted by other political parties to lure voters,’ said senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh.
