ER introduces additional 12 coach EMU services

Eastern Railway will introduce additional 12-coach EMU services between Sealdah and Lalgola stations of Sealdah Division from Friday.

Additional two pairs of Sealdah–Lalgola passenger trains will start running by EMU cars instead of old conventional coaches. For the convenience of the passengers, 30 minutes halt has been provided at Krishnanagar station while the journey time has also been reduced from end to end. 53173 (renumbered as 31873) Sealdah–Lalgola passenger will leave Sealdah at 8.04 am reaching Lalgola at 1.50 pm. The train will reach Krishnanagar at 10.40 am and leave the station at 11.10 am. 53183 (renumbered as 31883) Sealdah–Lalgola passenger will leave Sealdah at 10.28 am and reach Lalgola at 3.50 pm.

The train will reach Krishnanagar at 12.35 pm and leave at 1.05 pm. 53182 (renumbered as 31882) Lalgola – Sealdah passenger will leave Lalgola at 4 .50 pm and reach Sealdah at 9.55 pm. The train will reach Krishnanagar at 7.45pm and leave the station at 8.15 pm . 53184 (renumbered as 31884) Lalgola – Sealdah passenger will leave Lalgola at 5.50 pm and reach Sealdah at 11.25 pm . The train will reach Krishnanagar at 8.40 pm and leave at 9.10 pm. It is stated that as a step towards further improvement of passenger amenity,

Eastern Railway introduced broad gauge EMU service in Krishnanagar – Lalgola section of Sealdah Division from March 8, while the electrification work of the said section was completed earlier.
