Nurturing creativity in young artists
Dr Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Smriti Irani
To celebrate some mesmerizing captures by artists who have expressed an intriguing array of lights and colours through their work, an exhibition was held at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi. Titled 'Anubhuti', the display was organised by Incredible art and culture foundation.
Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences and Environment and Climate Change inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Smriti Irani.
Basnat Devi Bisht who was awarded Padama Shri in 2017, for her contribution to Uttrakhandi Folk Music, performed on 'Jagar' Songs. Anup Sah, who was awarded the coveted Padma Shri in 2019 for his breathtakingly beautiful photographs, also exhibited his beautiful frames of Himalayan landscapes.
This exhibition presented various artworks on one platform, thus making a holistic approach to promote art and culture of India. With this event, IAC foundation pioneered in providing an accessible forum for those artists, who for multiple reasons are not able to nurture their creativity in a wider spectrum.
Dr Chirag Upreti's mesmerising work on the night sky was also be showcased. Besides this, celebrated lens men Threesh Kapoor, Anup Sah, D D Mishra also presented their pictures amongst the artworks of many other artists including Monica Agarwal, Lekha Subharwal, Rajesh, Pushpender Gautam and many more.
As a part of the event and a social initiative by IAC, all paintings of the live creative workshop which was held on February 17 shall be auctioned and the collected amount will be contributed for welfare of the families of CRPF martyrs of Pulwama attack.
Ashish Mishra, Director of IAC and curator of this exhibition, has a keen eye for artworks, and emerging artists.
Rama Upreti Chairperson and Director of Incredible Art and Culture foundation believes, "Art has the power to transform, to illuminate, educate and motivate, and that the immense potential of such talented artists is yet to be explored. She wants to foray this creative world for sustainable livelihood for young and emerging artists and create social awareness."
