Calcutta Boy's School celebrates Greek culture
Calcutta Boy's School recently presented their annual concert 'Crescendo' in the school premises. in which students of the primary school collectively gathered to celebrate the Greek culture and enact the famous Greek myth known as Pandora's Box.
Arindam Sil, Film Actor, Director, and Producer graced the occasion as Chief Guest along with Raja McGee, Principal and Secretary, Calcutta Boy's School; and Professor Maria Fernandez, Vice-Chairperson, Women's Commission, Government of West Bengal.
It was a grand celebration, with almost 400 students taking part in the concert from various classes and age groups. The dance forms such as Greek folk dance, little Latino Dancers, Fiery Flamenco, Zorbas put up by the pre-primary students precede the main play, 'Pandora's Box' which conveys the important message that Hope is a blessing bestowed upon us by God which dispels negativity.
"This is a great initiative for the children in nurturing their skills. Books should be more provided to them than mobile phones this time, for their betterment in life," said Arindam Sil.
"This is a great opportunity for our students to showcase their talent which will, in turn, infuse them with confidence and hone their potentials," said Raja McGee, Principal and Secretary, Calcutta Boy's School.
